POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for setting up and operating conventional machinery, fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair fixtures, tooling and equipment in the support of production and manufacturing projects


TYPICAL DUTIES:

•    Set up and operate conventional machines such as lathes, millers, grinders, drill presses and other related equipment.  Measure and verify finished work pieces to specification, using precision measuring instruments

•    Grind and sharpen cutting tools, as required

•    Fabricate and assemble tooling, fixtures and parts for production equipment

•    Perform modification of switch components for production per engineering drawing and specifications

•    Assist in the manufacturing of engineering prototype per specification and drawings provided

•    Assist in the repair, fabrication and assembly of tooling and parts for production equipment

•    Must be able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
